Okay, so here's something you might not know - canoe adoption is a real thing, and it's pretty great.
Picture this: someone's been paddling their beloved wood canoe for decades, but life happens. Maybe they're getting older and can't get out on the water anymore. Maybe they're downsizing to a place with zero room for a 16-foot boat. Or maybe their canoe needs serious work and the restoration just isn't in the budget right now.
Whatever the reason, the canoe ends up sitting somewhere it shouldn't—under a deck, in a barn corner, or worse yet, becoming a bookshelf. And that breaks our hearts a little.
That's where our Canoe Adoption Program comes in.
So, how does it work? Honestly, it's pretty simple:
The current owner lists their canoe on our site
We take a look and figure out what kind of restoration it needs (with a clear pricing estimate so you know what you're getting into)
A new owner-to-be buys the canoe and brings it to us for the full restore
Boom—beautiful, fully restored classic canoe, back on the water where it belongs
Everyone walks away happy. The original owner knows their canoe is going to a good home instead of rotting away. The new owner gets a gorgeous, ready-to-paddle classic. And honestly? We just love bringing these old boats back to life.
